Things to do in Cincinnati – October

Summer is over. It’s time to close down the pool, and get out the sweaters.
Now, let’s turn our attention to some fun outdoor activities to enjoy the pleasant fall air. If it gets too chilly for you, there’s plenty of entertainment inside where it’s cozy.
• Shaw Farms Fall Festival. October 1 – 31 Free! Children’s hands on activities, tractor rides & face painting
• Taste of the Levee Fall Festival. October 4, Newport Restaurants put out affordable samples
• Wynton Marsalis, October 5, Aronoff Center Jazz Master! Not to be missed!
• Ohio Cider Festival. October 4 – 5, Lebanon
• Kings Island Halloween Haunt. Featured on Fridays and Saturdays in October
• Durango playing in the Thompson Shelterhouse, Playhouse in the Park, Eden Park. Excellent story! Go see it through October 19th.
• Cincinnati Antiques Festival. October 17 – 19 Sharonville Convention Center
• Sauerkraut Festival. October 11 – 12 Waynesville Visit over 460 Craft Booths, 38 Food Booths! Many food items made with sauerkraut. Cookbook on sale so you can make your pies and cookies with sauerkraut at home!
• Renaissance Festival. Weekends in October Where else can you walk around and gnaw on a turkey leg?
• Hairspray comes to the Aronoff Center October 24 – 24 as part of the Broadway series
• Adventures with Clifford the Big Red Dog, Opens October 4th at the Duke Energy Children’s Museum at Union Terminal
• St. Rita Haunted House. A Cival War-era Farmhouse that hasn’t quite “given up the ghost”!
• USS Nightmare. Newport Not for the faint of heart!! Get a sitter for the kids, and go have a spooky fun night out!
