The Announcer says “RE/MAX. Outstanding Agents, Outstanding Results” So What??

Advertising and marketing are powerful.  Jingles get stuck in our head. Beloved cartoon characters sell us everything from breakfast cereal to sinus pills. Clever catch phrases will disarm and sway even the savviest consumer. 

Quite a bit of money is spent advertising real estate companies on both a national and local level.
Catchy jingles during drive time, or large billboards advertising websites all work to grab our attention.

Here in Cincinnati, the local brokers and national companies alike have good, dedicated agents working under their banner.  So, does it really make a difference what company you choose?

I’ll Report – You Decide

The Real Estate Professional is a nationally distributed trade magazine, provided to us by REBAC, The Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council, Inc. The September/ October 2008 edition reports that two separate surveys clearly state that RE/MAX Sales Associates are assisting more buyers and sellers!

Survey #1 – RE/MAX sales associates outperform their fine competitors at brokerages affiliated with the other major, nationwide franchises.  This information was based on closed sales, 2007, from The RIS Media/Power Broker Survey. RE/MAX agents averaged 39% more transactions than the #2 broker.     39% !!

Survey #2 – A separate survey with data compiled by The REAL Trends 500, summarized that RE/MAX sales associates were also ranked the highest of all national real estate franchises. RE/MAX realtors averaged 19% more transactions per agent than their closest competitor, local and national. The average realtor closed 7.6 transaction sides….. assisting fewer than 8 families with their home buying or home selling needs!!

So, that’s the data. I know. I know. I can hear you saying “Congratulations. So What?”

A ranking report of the top 10 offices places RE/MAX Unlimited  #1 in market share of all homes in the market, regardless of status

Of the 9670 sold homes, our office was involved with 854 transactions…..or 4.06% Market Share
 #1 Again!
Our fine competitor’s 523 transaction sides ranked them at #2, with 2.49% market share.
